This project was born from the desire to explore the concept of the grotesque through an attempt at an unfiltered representation that aims directly at the gaze, without trying to soften it. The deformed, the false and the artificial are expressed through the loose shapes and textures of the prostheses, the vivid colors and veins of the volumes and roughness, the design and the poses. All these elements speak of a malaise, a condition that is not only formal or apparent, but more internal and collective. Through a critical but at the same time provocative approach and experimentation, the complex relationship between the self and the other comes to light in a critical and sometimes misleading contemporary context. On the other hand, the project proposes an inclusive approach, manifesting a diverse and heterogeneous imagination that courageously maintains a tension towards the authentic aspects of existence, always searching for new configurations that enhance all its peculiarities. The images present a surreal and earthy vision, lively and revealing, that transcends social norms or canons to be followed.
